We regularly publish the past events of the Los Angeles Consular Corps.

On April 28, 2022 the Los Angeles Consular Corps held its first-ever Ramadan Interfaith Iftar bringing together Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu, Sikh, Bahá?í and Zoroastrian faith leaders of Los Angeles. Jointly sponsored by Consulates of Azerbaijan, Turkiye & Israel, the Iftar was hosted at Turkish Consul General’s residence.

On March 24, 2022 the Los Angeles Consular Corps (LACC) was delighted to hold its first in-person meeting since the outbreak of the pandemic. And we were honored to host Ambassador Robert O’Brien, the former U.S. National Security Advisor (2019-2021) as our keynote speaker. The luncheon took place at the Japan House Los Angeles, hosted generously by the Consulate General of Japan and the Japan House. 

LACC held its virtual Monthly Meeting on February 24, 2022. Our keynote speaker was the prominent Hollywood producer HARVEY MYMAN, who is currently the executive producer of the critically acclaimed Miss Scarlet & The Duke on PBS’s Masterpiece and a creative force behind other hit series like Roseanne, Home Improvement, That 70’s Show and Everybody Loves Raymond. Charles Jarvis from the Dignitary Protection Unit of LAX Airport also addressed the Corps. The new Consul General of Turkiye, The Hon. Sinan Kuzum, was introduced.

LACC held its virtual Annual General Meeting on January 27, 2022. Dean of LACC and Consul General of Azerbaijan, Nasimi Aghayev, welcomed all participants and presented the report on LACC activities in 2021. Treasurer of LACC and Honorary Consul of Switzerland, The Hon. Franco Zimmerli, presented the Treasurer’s Report, and Secretary of LACC and Honorary Consul of Estonia, The Hon. Jaak Treiman presented the Secretary’s Report. New Consuls General of Austria, Dominican Republic, Finland, Thailand and Qatar were introduced.
